A voice actor from the animated TV show “Bob’s Burgers” was identified as the driver involved in a fiery car crash at the Bedford, N.H., tolls on Tuesday.
Yevgeny Mirman, 51, of Massachusetts, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries after he was pulled out of a 2026 Lucid Gravity by a state Trooper assigned to Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s security detail. Mirman was the car’s only occupant.
At 11:55 a.m., state Troopers responded to a crash at the Bedford tolls on the Everett Turnpike after callers reported that the vehicle involved had caught on fire and the driver appeared to be trapped, according to New Hampshire State Police.
A Trooper working for Ayotte, who has not been identified due to the nature of their role, pulled Mirman out of the wreckage through the car window, with the governor and other witnesses providing assistance.
No charges have been filed but the crash remained under investigation, according to State Police. As of Thursday morning, Mirman is still hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Mirman, who goes by the first name Eugene, has voiced the character of Gene Belcher in “Bob’s Burgers” since the show’s airing in 2011 and has been featured in other series on HBO, Cartoon Network and Comedy Central. He attended Hampshire College in western Massachusetts and earned his bachelor’s degree in comedy.
