HANOVER — Voters elected incumbent Tara Velozo to the Hanover School Board over challenger Christopher Rivet at the polls Tuesday, 426-97.
All other articles on the Hanover School ballot passed including a $16.96 million operating budget and a collective bargaining agreement for Hanover-Dresden Service Staff that will add $28,179 to next year’s budget.
Voters also approved appropriating $75,000 from the existing Don. S. Bridgman fund with no tax impact to cover “additional advantages to the students of the District not provided by taxes.”
Last year, Hanover voters approved a $16.2 million school operating budget.
