THETFORD โ€” Vermont State Police has reopened the southbound lanes of Interstate 91 in Thetford after they were closed due to a vehicle crash.

The closure, which was near Exit 14 in Thetford, was announced shortly after 9 a.m. and may last up to two hours, according to an announcement from Vermont State Police.

โ€œSpecific details are not yet available, updates will be provided as appropriate,โ€ according to police.

Early Thursday morning the National Weather Serviceโ€™s Burlington office issued a โ€œHazardous Weather Outlookโ€ alert for multiple Vermont counties, including Windsor. Up to three inches of โ€œlight snowfallโ€ could hit the region today.

โ€œA short period of widespread snow this morning will cause some areas of slippery
travel,โ€ according to the alert. โ€œThis snow will be followed by scattered snow showers and
possible snow squalls that could impact the evening commute.โ€
