Article of note: Voters will be asked to raise $20,000 to put into the Parks and Recreation Reserve Fund to implement the Hoisington Field Master Plan.

Contested races: There are no contested races on the town or school district ballots.

Budgets and spending articles: The proposed general budget is $2.05 million, with $1.66 million to be raised by taxes. Last year, voters approved a $1.89 million general budget. The proposed highway budget is $1.31 million, with $1.08 million to be raised by taxes. Last year, voters approved a $1.28 million highway budget. Voters will also be asked to approve $292,000 to put in the Highway Motorized Equipment Fund and $100,000 to put in the Fire Apparatus Reserve Fund.

The proposed Weathersfield School District budget is $9.95 million. Last year, voters approved an $8.89 million school budget.

When, where and how to vote: The annual school meeting will be held on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. at the Weathersfield School, 135 Schoolhouse Road in Ascutney. Town Meeting will be held in the same place at 12:30 p.m. that day. Both meetings can also be streamed virtually. Ballot voting will take place on Tuesday, March 3, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Martin Memorial Hall, 5259 Route 5, Ascutney.
