Bruce E. Davis

Enfield, NH – Bruce E. Davis, 93, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in White River Junction, VT. He was born in Bradford, VT on August 25, 1932. He graduated from Bradford Academy then enlisted with the US Army and proudly served from 1950 to 1953. Following his honorable discharge, he returned home and began work with the Town of Bradford. On January 21, 1955, he was married to Margaret Scripture. His work career centered around the trucking industry, driving for Daniels Moving, P&C Grocers, RSD Transportation, and eventually serving as school bus coordinator for RSD where he oversaw service for multiple school districts in the area.

Bruce was a member of the American Legion Post 22, The Elks Lodge, and the Eagles Club.

He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Margaret; two daughters, Diane (John) Kelly, Lorie (Robert) Jack; grandchildren Sarah, Kieran (Jennifer), Brendan (Abby); and great granddaughter Laura. He is also survived by brother Brent (Susan), nieces Annette Dunn and Stacy Emerson, and nephew Christopher Davis. Also, Margaret’s two brothers, Philip (Brenda) and Thomas (Deanna) with whom he enjoyed countless good times over several decades.

Bruce took pride in all of his life’s endeavors; from his military and work record, to his family, his home, his yard, and the countless projects he constantly created. He was a hard worker with an infectious, positive attitude who willingly helped his neighbors even as his health declined.

His family would like to extend their gratitude to the medical staff at the VA for the caring, compassionate care he received there.

At his request, there will be no calling hours. A private graveside service will be held in the spring.
