Let’s all speak with one voice!
We should all be free to exercise our right to dissent from an administration that has slashed our healthcare to pay for trigger-happy, unaccountable federal agents storming our neighborhoods.
The administration is manufacturing chaos and fear in Minnesota, then pointing to the resistance to justify escalation. And straight out of the dictator’s playbook, they’ve threatened to turn the U.S. military on the people of Minnesota by invoking the Insurrection Act.
Using weapons of war against our friends, neighbors, and communities should never be considered in our democracy. But the administration is testing how far they can go – how many troops it takes to “control” a population and shut down opposition. According to Common Cause, there are already nearly five times as many federal agents in Minneapolis as there are local police.
The administration is trying to make an example out of Minnesota. And they want us to look the other way. We must not do that! Instead, let’s speak out with one voice as one multiracial democracy: No occupation of our cities, intimidation of our neighbors, no military crackdowns on protest! Please tell your members of Congress to get ICE out now, and join the next ICE Out rally nearest you.
