Disregard for those with disabilities
Some people are lazy and some just don’t care. I am talking about those who illegally use handicap parking spaces.
I see it all the time at the Bradford Post Office and at Hannafords and many other places around the area.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was about to back out of a space at the post office when in pulled a Bradford man in small red pickup. The handicap sign on the building and painted on the pavement were of no concern to him.
A few weeks before I watched a Woodsville man with large pickup take up not one, but two handicap spaces at Hannafords.
The fine in Vermont for illegally using a handicap space is $306.
Those who seem to think they are entitled should keep that in mind.
Let’s start the new year off by remembering those who truly need the handicap parking spaces.
