The Big Green came out of the gates ready to play this season as they won their opener on the road against Stonehill on Saturday, 5-2.
Hayden Stavroff led the way for Dartmouth, lighting the lamp three times en route to a hat trick. Hank Cleaves and Eric Charpentier also contributed to the scoring, each adding a goal, while Roan Clarke had 16 saves.

Dartmouthโs offense continued to hum on Sunday during its home opener, where its Ivy League Championship banner was revealed, against Yale, as it picked up a 6-1 win.

Ryan Schelling paced the offense in this one with two goals, while Nikita Nikora, Colin Grable, Stavroff and Charpentier found the back of the net. Emmett Croteau had 22 saves.
The Big Green open the season at 2-0 overall.
Womenโs soccer closes regular season with a win
Dartmouth will enter its Ivy League Tournament bout with Columbia, winners of three straight, as it took care of business at home against Cornell, picking up a 2-1 win on Saturday.
Frankie Valverde and Emmanuella Frimpomaa notched the Big Greenโs goals in the matchup, while Lourdes Lauterborn added an assist.
With the win, the Big Green finished the regular season 9-3-4 overall and 4-1-2 in conference play.
Those four conference wins match the highest in a season for the team since 2018.
Dartmouth’s Ivy League Tournament matchup with Columbia is set for Thursday at 3:30 p.m. in Princeton, N.J.
Womenโs hockey halts two-game skid
After dropping its last two games, the Big Green came out with a purpose on Saturday, traveling to Potsdam, N.Y., and shutting out Clarkson, which is ranked ninth in the nation in the latest USA Hockey Women’s Poll, 3-0.
Dartmouth had three different players score a goal on Saturday: Hamilton Doster, Shae Messner, and Sophia Chard, all of whom did so in the third period.
Jiahui Zhan had 33 saves in the win.
Earlier in the weekend, the Big Green fell 2-1 against St. Lawrence on Halloween. Izee Powell had the lone Dartmouth goal.
The Big Green are now 2-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play.
Volleyball wins two in a row; Gutz wins conference player of week
The Big Green had lost three straight contests as they entered Fridayโs battle with visiting Cornell, which has the best record in the Ivy League.
But Dartmouth rose up and came away with a 3-2 match win (25-22, 25-17, 20-25, 14-25, 19-17).
Dartmouthโs momentum carried over into its next match on Saturday at home against Columbia and won 3-0 (25-21, 27-25, 25-21).
The Big Green are now 7-13 overall and 4-6 in the Ivy League.
For her contributions to volleyballโs latest victories, Kauany Gutz was named the Ivy League Player of the Week.
Gutz had 15 kills and 15 digs against Cornell and followed that up with a performance that included 14 kills and 11 digs against Columbia.
Womenโs rowing competes at Princeton Chase
The Big Greenโs varsity eight finished fourth (14:13.302) in the womenโs open eight at the event over the weekend to close out the fall season.
Equestrian picks up another win
Dartmouth picked up a 7-3 win at home against Charleston on Saturday, the same team it defeated in the National Championship last season.
Cassidy Exner, Grace Russo, and Elise Stephens had wins in fences, while Camilla Jerng, Samantha Takacs, Stephens, and Exner won in the individuals.
The Big Green are now 2-0 overall.
Cross country competes at Ivy League Championships
During the competition hosted by Columbia on Friday, the Big Green men finished fifth overall, while the women finished eighth, which put them in last place.
Connor Foley (5:08) paced the Dartmouth men in the 8K, while Esme Daplyn (5:53.6) led the Big Green women in the 6K.
Field hockey ends regular season with a loss
The Big Green hosted 18th-ranked Brown on Saturday and suffered a 3-2 loss in overtime.
Lucia Campano had a goal assisted by Amelie Luessmann, who also had her own goal in the matchup, which Zoe Schaffer assisted.
Dartmouth closes the season 4-12 overall and 0-7 in the Ivy.
