I very much appreciated the letter by William A. Wittik (“Ballots over bullets,” September 20). In joining with Sen. Bernie Sanders in condemning political violence, he gives us a good example of how people can disagree without being disagreeable. I have often disagreed with Mr. Wittik in the past and have occasionally written letters to the Forum to express my disagreement. Now I am very glad to agree with him and I join him in praying for a recovery of “civility, courtesy, and decency in politics and everyday living.”
