BRADFORD, Vt. โ€” Vermont State Police are searching for two Bradford residents who are alleged to have been involved in a road rage incident that resulted in gunfire last weekend.

Considered “armed and dangerous,” Justin French, 36, and Kayla Cabey, 33, both of Bradford, are wanted on felony charges of first-degree attempted murder, as well as misdemeanor charges of reckless endangerment and criminal threatening, according to a police news release.

The alleged incident occurred on Sep. 20 at around 5 p.m. along U.S. Route 302 from Powder Spring Road to P&H Truck Stop in the Vermont towns of Groton, Ryegate and Newbury, police said.

The shooting was “not a random act of violence and involved people who knew each other,” the release said.

Both French and Cabey have strong ties to Grafton County, the release said. The two are also known to frequent Orange, Caledonia and Washington counties, the release said.

Photos attached to the release show a dark sedan, identified as their car, with the front grill missing and smoke coming out of the left wheel well.
