QUECHEE — A 42-year-old Hartford man died in a car crash on Red Barn Road on Friday night.
Hartford Police responded to an iPhone crash notification in the area of 317 Red Barn Road at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday, according to a Saturday news release from police.
Officers found a 2021 Toyota Truck, which had partially left the roadway and collided with a tree.
The operator was unresponsive in the vehicle. In spite of lifesaving efforts by police and Hartford Fire personnel, the man was pronounced dead on the scene.
Red Barn Road, which runs northeast off of Quechee Main Street, reopened to vehicular traffic at approximately 1 a.m.

Police will release a final determination of the cause of the crash when the investigation is complete, the release said.
