The first weekend in August marked the 25th and final Jammer Golf Tournament, Dinner, and Auction — a truly bittersweet moment for the many friends and families who have made this event part of their summer tradition for more than two decades.
While it’s hard to say goodbye to the yearly gathering we’ve all come to love, we are incredibly proud to share that this final Jammer raised over $20,000 in support of three important charities: Make-A-Wish, Visions for Creative Housing Solutions and the Grantham Crisis Fund. This tremendous outcome was made possible by the generosity of our participants — from the wonderful auction items donated to the enthusiastic overbids that added so much to the final total.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been watching how the event — and the people — have grown. Many who started attending the Jammer as children are now returning with their own kids, continuing the spirit of community, generosity, and connection that has always defined this gathering.
We offer our heartfelt thanks to all who joined us over the years — especially our longtime supporters who made each Jammer a success. You helped create something truly special.
Though this was our last tournament, the memories, the impact, and the spirit of James, for whom the event was created, will live on.
With gratitude,
The Mellow Family – Andy, Susan, Meagan, and Erin
