BRADFORD, Vt. โ€” Hanover’s middle school principal is leaving to become Oxbow High School’s first middle school principal.

Oxbow hired Tim Boyle, of Quechee, “to lead the next phase of their 7th and 8th grade evolution,” according to a Wednesday announcement from the Orange East Supervisory Union.

“His experiences and methodologies will support the whole studentโ€”academically, socially, and emotionallyโ€” and foster a culture of growth, consistency, and sustainability for both staff and students,” the announcement said.

One of the key responsibilities of Boyle’s role will be to “guide the ongoing development of our middle school program, focusing on effective transitions between elementary, middle, and high school,” according to a job description.

His start date is Aug. 11.

Oxbow High School in Bradford is part of the Oxbow Unified Union School District, which serves students in Bradford and Newbury, Vt., and is part of Orange East.

Ken Cadow, a former co-principal at Oxbow High School, is now the high school principal. Another former co-principal, Sarah Jalbert, has become a school counselor and 504 coordinator at Thetford Elementary School, which also is part of Orange East.

Boyle had served as principal at Hanover’s Frances C. Richmond Middle School since July 2019.

SAU 70, which includes the towns of Hanover and Norwich, has tapped Anissa Morrison, of Tunbridge, to serve as interim principal for the 2025-26 school year at Richmond Middle School, according a Thursday announcement from Superintendent Robin Steiner.

Morrison has worked for the supervisory union for 32 years, first as a teacher and more recently as an administrator.

“Anissaโ€™s most recent role as associate principal makes her the ideal person to support the work currently in progress and to lead the middle school as we embark on the start to the school year,” Steiner wrote in the announcement.

The supervisory union is now seeking applicants for a yearlong interim associate principal role.
