NEWPORT — A Sullivan County jury has convicted a 42-year-old Newport man of multiple sexual assault offenses, including endangering the welfare of a child.
Ryan Barbin was found guilty following a two-day jury trial this week in Sullivan County Superior Court in Newport, according to a joint news release from the Newport Police Department and the Sullivan County Attorney.
Barbin, whose social media profile identifies him as having worked as an addiction recovery coach at multiple Upper Valley social service nonprofits, has been held without bail since he was charged in June 2024 with multiple sexual assaults against a child and other offenses, police said at the time of his arrest.
Sentencing is set for July 15.
Barbin still faces additional pending charges in Strafford County arising out of this investigation, related to the alleged possession of a stolen firearm while a convicted felon, the news release said.
