Dorchester voters give raise to town clerk and tax collector

DORCHESTER — Voters approved a raise of $8,000 for the town clerk and tax collector position during Town Meeting on Saturday.

As a result, they added that amount to the town budget, bringing it to $728,000, Town Clerk/Tax Collector Darlene Oaks said Monday.

Of the town’s 291 registered voters, 30, or about 10%, attended Saturday’s meeting.
