WOODSTOCK — During Saturday’s floor meeting, voters approved a town budget of $8.35 million, with $7.27 million expected to come from taxes.

They also supported a town sewer department budget of $1.4 million and water budget of $735,000.

Voters supported an appropriation of $184,000 to cover the water department’s costs from April through June of this calendar year.

Also on Saturday, voters approved an article eliminating the office of lister to replace it with a professionally qualified assessor in a paper ballot vote of 105 to 10.

They also approved replacing elected auditor positions with a public accountant or auditor’s firm.

In uncontested Selectboard races on Tuesday, voters elected Laura Powell to a three-year term and Ray Bourgeois to a two-year term.
