Budgets and other spending articles: The proposed town budget is $8.35 million, with $7.27 million expected to come from taxes. Last year, voters approved a budget of $8.02 million. The proposed town sewer department budget is $1.4 million and the proposed water budget is $735,000. A separate town article asks whether voters support an appropriation of $184,000 to cover the water department’s costs from April through June of this calendar year. The proposed village budget is $1.63 million, with $779,000 to come from taxes.
When, where and how to vote: The annual town meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 1 in the Town Hall Theatre. Ballot voting will take place on Tuesday, March 4, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. also in the theatre. Ballot voting on village articles will take place on Tuesday, March 18 at 7 a.m. The in-person village meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. on March 18.
