Budgets and spending articles: The proposed general fund budget is $867,000, of which $518,000 is to be raised by taxes. Last year’s general fund budget was $822,600. The proposed highway budget is $1.29 million, of which $1.14 million is to come from taxes. Last year’s highway budget was $1.2 million. Voters also will be asked for $55,000 to support the fire department and a total of $19,000 to support social service groups.
