HARTFORD — A 26-year-old recent Dartmouth College graduate who was reported missing has been found.
Daniel Brooks, who had graduated from Dartmouth’s Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program in May, was located five days after police issued an alert seeking the public’s assistance in finding him.
Hartford police issued the news alert last week about Brooks, who had been last seen in Hanover nearly four weeks earlier. His family was concerned about his welfare and reported him missing, police said.
Hartford in a social media update did not provide any information about where or how Brooks was found except to say that he had been “located out of state and found to be safe and in good health.”
Brooks’ car had been impounded in Lynn, Mass., on July 24 and his last transaction had been recorded at a gas station in Salem, Mass., about five miles away on July 29, according to social media post by Brooks sister when the family was seeking the public’s help in locating him. Efforts to contact the family were unsuccessful.
