SUNAPEE — Sunapee Harbor reopened on Wednesday. It had been closed since Saturday following a diesel fuel spill in the boat launch area that drew cleanup efforts from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and the Sunapee Fire Department.
There is still a “very mild contaminated area,” Town Manager Shannon Martinez said. The town beach remains closed, but is expected to reopen on Thursday.
