WOODSTOCK — Voters in the seven towns that make up the Windsor Central Supervisory Union approved $1.65 million article to come up with plans to build a new middle high school in Town Meeting Day ballot voting.

Voters also passed the $25.84 million operating budget, 960-456. Bridgewater was the only town where the majority voted against the budget. 

Voters also approved $1 million to convert the heating system at Woodstock Union Middle High School from steam to forced hot water and for $1.75 million to replace the roof and for an energy conservation project at Killington (Vt.) Elementary School.

In uncontested races, Rayna Bishop was re-elected as clerk and Calista Brennan as treasurer. Carin Ewing Park will represent Barnard on the School Board; Lara Bowers and Ryan Townsend will represent Bridgewater; Lydia Locke will represent Pomfret; and Sam DiNatale and John Williams will represent Woodstock.
