Budgets and spending articles:ย Voters will be asked for a total municipal operating budget of $1.9 million to support town expenses, including highways, with $1.4 million slated to come from taxes. Voters will be asked to support a school budget of $5.88 million. If approved, the school budget will result in education spending of $19,889 per equalized pupil, which is 6.28% higher than spending for the current year. Both budgets are up from last year, when voters approved a $1.86 million municipal budget and a $5.4 million school budget.ย 

When, where and how to vote:ย Sharon will hold its Town Meeting on March 7 at 9 a.m. at the Sharon Elementary School, 135 School Street. Officers will be elected by Australian ballot and polls will be open from 7 a.m. โ€“ย 7 p.m. The school districtโ€™s annual meeting will take place on Monday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at the Sharon Elementary School.
