THETFORD — Thetford Elementary School was closed Friday due to a lack of water on campus, the superintendent said.
School officials were looking into why the water level was insufficient to reach the pumps, Orange East Supervisory Union Superintendent Emilie Knisley said in a Friday email.
Water was expected to be delivered to the school in time for it to reopen on Monday, she said. The school has vacation scheduled the week after next.
