ENFIELD — Developer James Kelleher has won zoning board approval for his plans to build an eight-unit apartment building in downtown Enfield.
Kelleher, of Enfield, asked the ZBA to relax its zoning setbacks — the distance by which a building must be from property lines — as well as permission to have apartment units on the first floor, as current regulations stipulate retail must occupy the ground floor of building in the community business district and apartments on upper floors.
The zoning board gave its approval at a meeting Tuesday night after Kelleher’s presentation. Next, Kelleher will deliver more detailed plans at a future planning board meeting.
