NEWPORT — Voters easily approved a $15.4 million appropriation for renovations and additions to the Sugar River Valley Technical Center, 717-156. 

William Wilkinson (471) and Steven Morris (377) were elected to three-year seats on the school board over Darrell Jones (278) and Timothy Beard (356).

The $19.76 million budget and a three-year teachers contract passed easily.
