Article of note: Plainfield voters will be asked to weigh in on several zoning amendments, a community power electric aggregation plan, giving the cemetery trustees the go-ahead to develop policies on green burials and creating a committee to study the town’s relationship with Kimball Union Academy.

Contested races: There are no contested races.

Budgets and spending articles: The Selectboard is seeking approval of a town budget totaling $2.6 million, as well as $258,000 for capital reserve and general trust funds, and the purchase of a six-wheeled dump truck and a wheeled loader from those funds. The School Board is seeking approval of a $7.4 million budget, as well as $45,000 to replace some of the school’s floors.

When, where and how to vote: Plainfield polls will be open for Australian ballot voting to elect town and school officers from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 8 in the Plainfield School gymnasium, 91 Bonner Rd., Meriden, N.H. 03770. The school will hold its annual meeting on March 12 at 9 a.m. and the business portion of town meeting will follow at 1 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the school gym.
