Article of note: Lebanon voters will be asked whether to discontinue the school resource officer program.

Contested races: There are four candidates running for three School Board seats.

Budgets and spending articles: Lebanon voters will decide the fate of a $14.3 million school renovation project to include improvements to Lebanon High School and Hanover Street School, as well as raising $358,000 for the first year’s debt service on the bond for the project. The renovation project is expected to add 16 cents per $1,000 of property value in the first year.

Voters will also be asked to support a school operating budget of $48.1 million and a collective bargaining agreement for teachers that will result in an increase of $676,000 in the first year. The budget is up about 1% over the current year, for an increase of about 67 cents per $1,000 of property value.

When, where and how to vote: Ballot voting will take place on March 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Ward I voters will vote at the Kilton Public Library, 80 Main St., in West Lebanon. Ward II voters will vote at the United Methodist Church, 18 School St., in Lebanon. Ward III voters will vote in the City Council Chambers, 51 North Park St., Floor 1, in Lebanon.
