Article of note: The town of Haverhill is composed of four districts: Woodsville, Mountain Lakes, North Haverhill and Haverhill Corner. Each district is responsible for funding their own needs. Articles 27 and 28 ask the town of Haverhill to fund the Woodsville fire and highway departments. The total sum of funds requested is $613,593.
Contested races: Two Selectboard seats for a term of three years each.
Budgets and spending articles: The municipal budget for the year is $4,254,486. Should all of the articles in the warrant pass, the projected municipal budget for the year is $5,272,649. The bottom-line school budget for the Haverhill Cooperative School District is $15,340,614.
When, where and how to vote: The first session of Annual Town Meeting (official ballot voting) is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the James R. Morrill Building, 2975 Dartmouth College Highway. The second session of Annual Town Meeting (transaction of all other business) is scheduled for Saturday, March 12, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the Haverhill Cooperative Middle School Gym, 175 Morrill Drive.
