NEW LONDON — New London Hospital and the Newport Health Center are not accepting new primary care patients due to ongoing staffing challenges, according to a Monday community message from the hospital’s CEO.
CEO Tom Manion, in his message, asked patients to check in again in as many as 90 days to determine availability.
The organization has recently hired some new providers, but it will take time for them to transition into their new jobs, Manion said. In addition, it will take time to onboard other potential new providers, he wrote.
“We apologize for this inconvenience and assure you this is only temporary,” Manion wrote.
