Article of note: Voters will be asked to approve allowing cannabis businesses to set up shop in town.

Contested races: There are no contested races on the ballot. However, former Selectboard member Mike Morris Sr. has started a write-in campaign for a two-year seat on the Selectboard against Rocket and Ally Tufenkjian. Wayne Kendall will also be running a write-in campaign for a three-year seat on the Selectboard against Mary M. Erdei and Kim Souza.

Budgets and spending articles: The town budget is set at $18.25 million, of which $14.56 million will come from taxes. On the school side, the budget is $43.69 million with a per pupil cost of $18,557. 

When, where and how to vote: Voting by Australian ballot will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the gym at Hartford High School, 37 Highland Ave. Voters can also request absentee ballots from the town clerk by calling 802-295-2785 or emailing loneil@hartford-vt.org.
