Article of note: Voters will decide whether to raise nearly $12,000 to continue the Intermunicipal Regional Energy Coordinator program. The program — which includes Bradford, Norwich, Sharon, Strafford, Thetford and Woodstock — helps participating towns to hire support staff in order to carry out each town’s energy plan.

Contested races: While new candidates may be nominated from the floor during the meeting, no races are expected to be contested.

Budgets and spending articles: The warning calls for a highway budget of $1.2 million, of which nearly $862,000 will be raised from taxes; this represents a 16.2% increase in required tax revenue. These funds will be put toward the ongoing highway resurfacing project. The warning also calls for a general fund budget of $830,211, of which $550,652 will be raised from taxes. This represents a decrease of 6.6% in required tax revenues from last year.

When, where and how to vote: The meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1, at 10 a.m. at the Town Hall, 115 North Road. Polls are open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
