WINDSOR — A 55-year-old Windsor man was arrested early Saturday morning after police said he fired a gun in a neighbor’s apartment.
Police were called to a home on Route 5 around 4:55 a.m. and were told by witnesses that Adam Perron had fired a gun from an upstairs apartment into the floorboards, with the bullet passing into a separate unit below, Windsor Police said in a news release. Perron then entered the downstairs apartment without being authorized to do so and fired additional rounds, the release said.
Police said they evacuated the residents downstairs and also closed a portion of Route 5 until Perron was taken into custody, the release said.
Nobody was injured, and Perron faces a charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm, the release said.
Anyone with information about the incident was asked to call Windsor Police at 802-674-9042.
