HANOVER — Eight players combined on 10 tries as the Dartmouth College women’s rugby rolled over Sacred Heart, 63-10, at Brophy Field on Saturday to stay perfect on the campaign.
Emily Henrich and Sophie Ragg led the way two tries apiece for 10 points. Kristin Bitter had four conversion kicks for eight points. The Big Green (4-0) wasted no time, getting on the board 41 seconds in with Ragg’s third try of the season and rolled from there.
Dartmouth returns to action with another debut encounter, with time against Mount St. Mary’s, on Saturday.
HANOVER — The Big Green (0-7-0, 0-1-0) remained winless despite rallying from a two-goal deficit in the final 25 minutes of regulation.
The Tigers (4-4-0, 1-0-0) took the lead through Walker Gillespie in the 10th minute and Malik Pinto in the 51st. Dartmouth began its comeback on an Ohad Yahalom goal in the 66th minute set up by Louis Weisdorf, and Tom Collins’ unassisted strike at 81:42 sent the contest to overtime.
That’s when Pinto notched his second goal of the match for the win, putting away at Kevin O’Toole at 101:31. Alex Budnik had three saves for the Big Green, which hosts Albany on Tuesday night.
HANOVER — Tatum Gee sandwiched two goals around one from teammate Gabi Juarez in a 15-minute span of the first half as the Tigers (9-1-1, 2-0-0) handled the Big Green (4-4-1, 0-2-0) at Burnham Field.
Lily Bryant assisted on both of Gee’s strikes for Princeton, which outshoot the Big Green, 14-6. Goalkeeper Emily Henry made five saves for Dartmouth.
The Big Green visits Yale on Saturday.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Bears scores once in each of the final three quarters to put away the Big Green (4-6-0, 0-2-0) at Goldberger Family Field.
Emma Rosen, Imogen Govan and Mikayla Walsh provided the goals for Brown (4-5-0, 1-1-0). Isabella Santucci went the distance in goal for Dartmouth, making six stops.
Dartmouth returns to Chase Field on Saturday for an Ivy League matchup against Princeton.
PHILADELPHIA — A two-point loss in the final set denied the Big Green (8-4, 0-3) its first Ivy League win of the season.
The Quakers (4-8, 1-2) dropped the first set, took a lead, saw Dartmouth rally and finally ended on the plus side of a 17-25, 25-22, 25-17, 16-25, 15-13 nailbiter.
Makenzie Arent posted her sixth double-double of the season for Dartmouth with 40 assists and 21 digs on defense. Nicole Liddle delivered a season-best 20 kills for the attack.
Dartmouth hits the road again next weekend for trips to Brown and Yale.
