After hosting last week’s district tournament, the White River Junction facility is staging the Vermont Cal Ripken state tourney this weekend. Ten- and 12-year-old teams from around the state are competing to determine who will head to regional action.

Norwich (10-0 over Bellows Falls), North Country (14-5 over Hartford), Central Vermont (9-3 over Lake Region) and Dresden (5-2 over Manchester) won 10U games on Saturday. The 12U victors included North Country (13-3 over Hartford), Dresden (7-3 over BF), Central Vermont (12-2 over Lake Region) and Manchester (4-0 over Norwich). The tourney closes on Sunday.
