GRANTHAM — A three-alarm fire destroyed a waste management building and four tractor-trailers Thursday afternoon, according to Grantham Fire Chief Justin Hastings.

No one was injured in the blaze, which was called in around 1 p.m. Thursday at a building at 1045 Route 114 in Grantham. The 3,000-square-foot industrial building is used by waste management company B&D Associates. The building and the four trailers, which were used for storage, are a “complete loss,” Hastings said.

Multiple departments including Canaan, Newport and Lebanon helped Grantham firefighters battled the blaze for hours before putting it out and leaving the scene around 6 p.m., according to the fire department.

The department is still investigating the cause of the blaze.
