PLAINFIELD — Amy Lappin won an open Selectboard seat on Tuesday, defeating Dennis Girouard, 431-145.
Girouard also finished out of the money in a three-way race for two School Board seats. Incumbent Mary (Beth) Houde, with 426 votes, and Jordan Green, with 417, won election. Girouard had 160 votes.
Votes on the town and school budget and a proposal for a new Meriden Library will be held in early June.
