LEBANON, NH — Jane Rose Packard, 82, passed February 16, 2021 at Genesis Health Center after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born October 21, 1938 in Lebanon, NH to Bernice I. (LaBombard) and Elmer Graydon Swett. Jane grew up in Etna, NH and attended Hanover schools. She and Chester Andrew Packard were married September 14, 1957 and spent 55 years together.

Jane enjoyed gardening, reading, and shopping trips with her BFF Theresa. She loved winters in Florida, butterflies, and watching her family grow, especially her beloved grandchildren.

Jane will be remembered for her loving, caring heart and how she welcomed everyone into her home and into her life.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Bernice Swett; husband, Chester Packard; three brothers, Everett, Donald, and Wendell Swett; and one half-sister, Jane Strobles.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Cindy (David) Watson of Orange, NH; son, Michael Packard of Meriden, NH; grandsons, Joshua (Becca) Watson of Lebanon, NH and Seth (Tara) Watson of Thetford, VT; granddaughter, Alyssa Packard of Plainfield, NH; five great-grandchildren, Hayden, Brooke, Delilah, Jade, and Willow; five brothers, Lenny, Richard, Roger, James, and Steve Swett; godson, James Swett, Jr.; and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Her family would like to thank the wonderful people of Genesis, who contributed so helpfully to care for Jane over the past two years.

There will be no Calling Hours. A Graveside Service at Valley Cemetery in Lebanon, NH will be announced in the Spring.
