UNITY — Three employees at Sullivan County Health Care have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the nursing home’s administrator.

All three, who had worked on the nursing home’s MacConnell Unit, are asymptomatic and now in quarantine at home, said Ted Purdy, the administrator, in a Thursday letter to friends and family members.

In response to the positive cases, caregivers on the MacConnell Unit are now wearing “full protective equipment,” including masks, face shields, gowns and gloves.

Nursing home officials are awaiting the results of testing of all residents on Wednesday.

The nursing home is scheduled to begin COVID-19 vaccinations on Jan. 6.
