SHARON, VT — Clayton Donald Richardson, 97 1/2, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2020 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.
He was born on April 2, 1923 in Calais VT to Perley and Florence Belle Martin Richardson.
He married May English in South Royalton VT in 1941. They had three children, Sandra, Donald, and Judith.
He served in the US Army from 1945 – 1947 and received an honorable discharge.
He held a variety of jobs over the years, concluding with running his own lawn care business for 28 years; retiring in 2001.
He married Helen Elder Morey in 2001 and they enjoyed their retirement years frequenting yard sales and selling baked goods at various local farmers markets.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; his daughters Sandra Lavender (Jack), Judith Dixon (Garry); and daughter-in-law Betty Richardson, as well as 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; stepdaughters Gladys Berry (John), Priscilla Wheeler (Robert), Debbie Miller, stepsons Fred Morey (Skippy), Michael Morey (Jessica), Gerald Morey (Roxann), and Paul Morey (Marilyn).
He was predeceased by his first wife, May, and his son, Donald.
Burial will be private.
