POST MILLS, VT — Jordan D. Nolan Sr passed away on 11/12/2020. Jordan was born on August 26, 1936 in Malden, Massachusetts. He graduated from Melrose High School in 1955 and enlisted in the United States Air Force. He served 4 years active duty before enrolling at the University of Miami (FL). Upon graduation in 1964, Jordan married Marilyn Welsh and re-enlisted in the Air Force as an officer. He served 8 more years before retiring honorably as a Captain. Jordan remembered fondly his posts in S Korea, Morocco, as well as North Carolina and Texas.

After leaving the military Jordan and his family settled in Westborough, Ma before moving to Hanover, NH where the family resided on Pine Drive for 25 years. Jordan and Marilyn were married for 35 years and had 3 sons; Jordan Jr, John and Andrew.

Jordan was deeply involved in the lives of his children, inspiring them to succeed, and always providing love and support. He served as a volunteer youth coach for both baseball and ice hockey teams. He often said that “I froze my toes in every rink in New England, and a bunch in Canada!”

For most of his professional life, Jordan was a successful financial advisor. He was a founding partner in the firm of Barrell, Bragg & Nolan. After leaving the investment business Jordan, along with his 2 oldest sons, built, owned and operated the KFC restaurant in West Lebanon, NH. He was always very proud of what he had created, the way in which he ran the restaurant, and that he was able to provide first-jobs for so many young men and women. He was “Pops” to everyone and a beloved father figure to many.

Upon retirement, Jordan moved to Harwich, Ma to be closer to his youngest son Andrew, who is autistic and resides in a group home on Cape Cod.

Jordan was a wonderful father, a loving husband, and by anyone’s definition, a good and decent man.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dave and Alma Nolan, Daniel Puccio, and younger brother, David Jr. He is survived by his 3 children and their spouses; Jordan Jr (Darcy), John (Dreamchaser) and Andrew, grandson Theodor, granddaughter Klara, and numerous nieces and nephews.
