RANDOLPH — Two people affiliated with the Orange Southwest School District have tested positive for COVID-19.

The new cases bring the district’s total to five, according to an update from superintendent Layne Millington that was posted to the Randolph Elementary School Facebook page Friday evening.

One of the new cases involves someone who was already in quarantine after being in contact with a person who tested positive.

“Because this person has been in quarantine since before the start of their infectious period, the schools continue to be cleared for normal operation as per the Department of Health,” Millington wrote.

The district is still awaiting information on the other case and said it would update the community once it knows more.
