CORNISH, NH — Donald P. Dunn, 74, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at his home in Cornish, N.H.
He was born on January 22, 1946 in Cornish, N.H. and was raised by his mother, Viola Hatch Scruton and Fred Scruton.
Donald was married to Peggy LaPan Dunn on September 5, 1964 in Meriden, N.H. They were happily married for 54 years.
Donald grew up in Cornish, N.H. and graduated from Windsor High School in 1964. Following graduation Donald joined the Navy and served 4 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, hiking, fishing, and hunting.
Donald is survived by his son BJ Dunn and husband Rich Bennett; daughter Tina Skehan and husband P.J.; grandchildren Heather, Rory, and Connor Skehan; brother Richard Dunn (Nola); sisters Beverlie Harlow and Pauline Scruton; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Peggy, his parents, and sisters; Donna Dunn, Betty Dunn McKay, Helen Dunn Gilbert, and Shirley Dunn Jarvis.
As per Donald’s wishes there will be no calling hours or services. Cremation will be performed by Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, N.H.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Cornish Fire and Rescue, 488 Town House Rd, Cornish, N.H. 03745.
