ENFIELD, NH — Thomas William Reardon, 83, passed at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative Care Saturday, October 10, 2020. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts February 3, 1937 to Bertha (Behnke) and Francis J. Reardon. Thomas married Nancy J. Moore in Natick, MA in 1966 and relocated to Windham, MA.
Thomas attended schools in Cambridge, MA before transferring to Norfolk Agricultural School in Norfolk, MA. Following graduation, he managed the dairy herd at the Academy of Assumption in Newton, MA. He returned to Granite State College to earn his Associates degree in Business.
Thomas began his 40-year career as a Lineman with New England Electric, transferring to Granite State Electric in Salem, NH and then Charlestown, NH. A transfer to Management in Lebanon, NH, the position from which he retired, brought Thomas and Nancy to Enfield, NH in 1988.
Thomas was a member and served on the Vestry of Trinity Anglican church and a Master Mason at the FASM Pulpit Rock Lodge. He also volunteered as a Special Officer for Charlestown, NH and went on to the State Police Auxiliary Troop C out of Keene, NH volunteering 20 hours a month. He was also a grillmaster at the Closing Ceremonies at Paddle Power in White River Junction for 10 years.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, golf, and classical music. Watching Clarence DeMar in the Boston Marathon, inspired him to take up running – 60 miles a week – and complete the Clarence DeMar Marathon in Keene, NH.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and son, Randal Reardon. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Reardon of Enfield, NH; children, Jack (Kathy) Reardon of Salisbury, MD, Sheryl (Rob) Wright of NC, and Richard (Kym) Reardon of New Orleans, LA; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Reardon of Blaine, WA; sisters, Patricia Geas and Jean Peters; cousins, Audrey Behnke of Burlington, MA and Linda Parsons of Sterling, VA, who were like sisters to him; and many more family members, who will miss him.
Memorial donations in Thomas’ name may be made to the Jack Byrne Center or the Upper Valley Humane Society.
