WOODSVILLE — Rite Aid is set to begin offering free COVID-19 testing at its Woodsville location on Thursday, according to a company news release.

The testing site, at 4976 Dartmouth College Highway, will operate through the store’s drive-thru window and use self-swab nasal tests overseen by Rite Aid pharmacists.

Testing will be available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends. All adults over the age of 18, even those not exhibiting symptoms associated with COVID-19, are eligible for testing. Patients are required to pre-register online at www.riteaid.com to schedule an appointment.

The company’s testing expansion, which in addition to New Hampshire also includes new sites in Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia, is supported by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Rite Aid will now operate a total of 92 testing sites, with the capacity to conduct nearly 47,000 tests each week.
