ENFIELD, NH — Walter Pelton passed away at home on April 25, 2020 at the age of 77 after a long period of declining health. He was born in Bellows Falls, VT on March 8, 1943 to Roger C. and Veronica H. (Soucie) Pelton and was raised in Langdon, NH. Walter graduated from Bellows Falls High School in June of 1961. He served in the U.S Air Force from October 3, 1961 until October 1, 1965 and lived in the Charleston, SC area for many years. He is survived by his wife Judy (DeVincentis, Withington) of Enfield, NH, Sons Joseph and David and daughter Mary Allison Kruse of South Carolina; six grandchildren Hannah, Logan, Eli, Veronica, Chance of South Carolina and Jin Lee of Korea; three brothers, Roger and Michael (Langdon, NH)and Edward (Claremont, NH); two sisters Katherine Targett (Keene, NH) and Anne Pratt (Westmoreland, NH). Walter was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, Francis and William. Walter was a loving husband and father, an avid pool player and karaoke singer. He most recently worked as a Supervisor of construction for Elan General Contractors of California before retirement. He had a quick wit, infectious smile and a kind and compassionate spirit. He will be sorely missed by many friends and family.
