Dozens showed their support for Vermont Technical College during a parade around its Randolph Center campus on Friday, a week after Vermont State Colleges Chancellor Jeb Spaulding announced a plan to close the system’s main campus in the center of the state. Spaulding withdrew the proposal on Wednesday. “I wish people could see the smile I’ve got behind here,” Patricia Moulton, president of Vermont Technical College, said as she watched hundreds of the college’s supporters assemble for the show of solidarity. Vehicles stretched for about 1½ miles.
