LEBANON, NH — Roberta S. Durgin, 77, died Saturday, April 11, 2020 at the Jack Byrne Center DHMC.
She was born in Hanover, NH on June 15, 1942, the daughter of Joseph and Helen Merrill. She graduated from Hanover High School in 1962.
She was a lifelong resident of the Upper Valley and began as a homemaker while her girls attended school; then was employed by Evan’s Group for many years before retiring.
Some of her interests included bowling, word search puzzles, walking; sing alongs with the residents at Roger’s House where she has lived for 13 years.
Survivors include her beloved three daughters, Lynn Gallop of Concord, NH; Sara Thibodeau and her husband, Gerry of Enfield, NH; Tina Durgin of White River Jct, VT. She also has two step-children, Marie Harris of Tucson, AZ, and Larry Durgin Sr. and his wife, Mary of Tucson AZ; two grand-daughters who were a shining light for her, Megan Searles of Concord, NH, and Nataleigh Henry and her fiance, Scott Liang of Orange, NH. Grandchildren who include Larry Durgin Jr. and his wife Melody of Showlow, AZ; Anne Miros of Tucson, AZ. Great-grandchildren, Taylor Beard and her husband Ethan of Tucson, AZ. Ethan is currently stationed in Italy. Twins, Tana and Tyler Miros of Tucson, AZ. Survivors include her twin brother, Robert Merrill (Barbara) of West Lebanon, NH; and three sisters, Sally Lambert of Maryville, TN; Pamela Duff (Rodney) of Lebanon, NH; and Patricia Marr of Newport, NH and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Matthew Durgin in 2003. Her parents Joseph Merrill, Sr. and Helen Merrill. Two brothers Joseph Merrill, Jr. and Richard Merrill, and a sister, Betsy Taft.
A private funeral will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery in Enfield, NH at the family’s convenience.
