THETFORD — Town officials are warning commuters that construction and culvert work on Route 132 in Thetford could start Monday.
The work, which will take place between Tucker Hill Road and the Strafford town line, is expected to last all summer, with another round of construction scheduled next year.
The town also has commissioned an engineering study for the other half of Route 132, from Tucker Hill Road to the Norwich line. Work there could be “substantial” and require a Town Meeting vote to finance, Selectboard Chairman Nick Clark wrote in a post on the Thetford Listserv.
“These are uncertain times and the updates I provided here are subject to change,” he wrote. “Drive slow, obey construction signs and flaggers, and stay tuned for more updates throughout the summer.”
