SAN ANTONIO, TX — Cecil Green Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on March 24, 2020 at Las Colinas of Westover Nursing home in San Antonio. He was born in Clinton, Maine on February 8, 1939 to the son of Cecil Green and Kathleen (Whitehouse) Green.

Cecil married Victoria G. Rich of Rumford, Maine on February 16, 1963 and had 57 years of marriage and 2 sons. They moved to Weathersfield, Vermont in 1971 where they lived for 36 years. From 1971 to 2007, he ran the Ascutney Sunoco Service Station for 6 years, worked at Cone Blanchard Machinery in Windsor and then retired from the White River Postal Department in 2002 after 20 years as a rural carrier.

Upon retirement, he and his wife enjoyed snowbirding to Florida and then would spend three months in Texas with their sons.

Cecil was a great fan of sports (especially all Boston pro-teams). He also enjoyed reading and his 20 years of square dancing. When he moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2015, he found a Western channel and that’s all he ever watched.

He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather and great grandfather.

Cecil was predeceased by his parents and his step mother Edith Green. He is survived by his wife Vicki and two sons, Michael and Jeffrey of San Antonio, Texas; sister Judy Holt of Springvale, Arkansas; one beautiful granddaughter Kelly Tweeten of Waco, Texas and three adorable great granddaughters: Whitney, Sophia, Luna and nieces & nephews.

Cecil will be laid to rest in the Ascutneyville Cemetery with a date to be determined.
