ENFIELD, NH — Howard S. Adams, 87, passed away March 3, 2020, with his family by his side. He was born September 9, 1932, to the late Forrest and Edith Adams. He proudly served in the US Army. Howard married “The Love of his life,” Gladys Cook, on January 7, 1961, and they first made their home in Lebanon, NH, and for many years in Enfield, NH. They both lived a happy long life together.

Howard owned his own building contractor business for many years and later worked for the Town of Enfield as Building Inspector.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, just days before him; niece, Denise Martin; and nephew, Leon Adams, Jr.

He is survived by nieces and nephews, Tim and Tina Martin, Jean Adams, Vicki and Walt Daniels, and Tina and Shannon Davis; and many close friends and family.

Howard and Gladys were happy with the time they spent with their family in Vermont and the special help they received from Tim and Tina Martin during their final days. They will be sadly missed by Jean Adams and her family in Vermont, but we all have such special memories of the time spent with them.

There will not be any calling hours or funeral for Howard and Gladys. A graveside service will be announced in spring.
